Hudson Awarded “Best in Mental Health” by The Metropolitan Magazine
Salisbury, Md. – December 15, 2022 – Hudson Behavioral Health is proud to be recognized by the readership of The Metropolitan Magazine for being the best mental healthcare provider on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. In addition to this honor, Dr. Efigenio Leynes Bautista, MD, the Psychiatrist at Hudson, was awarded “Best Psychiatrist” on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
As an addiction treatment program on the Eastern Shore, Hudson provides support for co-occurring disorders for clients who have an underlying and sometimes undiagnosed mental health disorder in addition to their addiction. The multi-disciplinary team includes counselors, a medical doctor, 24-hour medical staff, social workers, mental health therapists, and a psychiatrist.
“What an honor to be voted ‘Best in Mental Health’ by the readers of the Metropolitan Magazine,” said Leslie Brown, CEO of Hudson Behavioral Health. “For so long, mental health disorders were an obstacle to care. We recognize the direct correlation between substance use and mental health disorders, which is why we put such emphasis on treating co-occurring disorders at our facilities, addressing the needs of the mentally ill along with treating their substance abuse.”
Hudson has three mental health therapists on their residential campus, which offers medium- to high- intensity treatment for up to 60 days, and one mental health therapist for housing, which offers low-intensity residential treatment for up to one year. They also offer art therapy, yoga, and pet therapy to patients.
