STAFF ACHIEVEMENTS

We welcomed ten new staff members in 2024, including five nurses and five counselors. Four of our staff members pursued higher education and licensure. Maryland Residential Housing Counselor Joe Seminara received his Master’s degree and his CAC-AD licensure. Both Becca Kimmons, our Director of Housing, and Counselor Katie Cleaver earned the Licensed Master Social Worker licensure. And finally, Counselor Melissa Barone received her Bachelor’s degree. Congratulations to our dedicated team!

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

We kicked off 2024 by hosting a ribbon cutting in our Enrichment Center, a facility to host company trainings and events. The ribbon cutting was hosted in partnership with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and was well-attended by community members, including the mayor of Salisbury. Our outreach team stays present in the community year-round, and in 2024 they represented Hudson at a number of events, including career fairs, health fairs, the FSARR Recovery Housing Summit, the DE Harm Reduction Conference, overdose awareness and recovery month events, and several walks for recovery. The Hudson team also participated in two softball tournaments: the Justin Armstrong Tournament, which raises money for the Hudson scholarship fund, and the Brandywine Recovery Month Softball Tournament, which Hudson won in 2024!

AWARDS

In 2024, Hudson was the recipient of the Angel Award, presented by the Recovery Resource Center at their annual Revive Recovery Breakfast. This award is presented to organizations or individuals in the local area that have made an impact on the addiction community and support RRC’s mission. Several members of the Hudson team were in attendance to accept the award on behalf of the organization. For the third year in a row, Hudson was selected as the Best Mental Healthcare Facility by the readership of Metropolitan Magazine.  In addition, Dr. Bautista was voted Best Psychiatrist.

About us

Hudson Behavioral Health was formed in 1980 (as Hudson Health Services, Inc.) to bring the first residential recovery program to the Eastern Shore. Today, thousands of patients later, we remain the leader in recovery programs and resources, with our staff of 125 committed to serving each patient as an individual.
